“I am a firm believer in scripture, specifically the power of worship – Worship wins the war. My goal as dance leader is to train up an army of worshippers who are equipped to present their offering of worship, but also to defeat the enemy through ushering in the presence of God or Lefanecha (before His face). He turns our mourning into dancing, and He gives us a garment of praise in exchange for the spirit of heaviness.”
Dance Ministry
Taharah was raised in Charlotte, NC and accepted Messiah at a young age. At 10 years old, her family discovered their Sephardic Jewish heritage, and they began to pursue a messianic expression of their faith in Yeshua. Praise the Lord, they found Hope of Israel Congregation in Charlotte.
Taharah began learning Israeli folk and Davidic praise dance and grew up in the community dancing weekly for worship, special services, talent shows and performances with the dance team and led a youth dance team called Rikud in Charlotte.
Since moving to Roanoke, after marrying the worship leader of Hope of Israel Congregation Roanoke, Taharah became a member and assistant leader for the dance team at Hope of Israel Roanoke congregation. Teharah has experience in teaching and leading dance classes, camps and worship dances.
If you are interested in learning Israeli folk dance and Davidic praise, talk to Taharah. We have future plans to host Beginner’s Dance Class soon, so stay tuned! Taharah is married to Paul, our cantor/worship leader and they have two beautiful daughters, who both love to dance with Mom and worship the Lord.
